CARICOM calls for speedy reconciliation in Lybia

CARICOM Chariman and Prime Minister of St. Kitts/Nevis Dr. Denzil Douglas, has called on the people of Libya and the international community to intensify efforts to promote reconciliation and nation-building in that country.

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Chair issued a statement on Monday afternoon, four days after the death of the Lybia leader Colonel Muammar Abu Al Gaddafi, at the hands of rebel forces.

In his statement Dr. Douglas said CARICOM has recognized that Libya has entered a “critical and decisive transitional phase”.
