MWAG donates to Hillsview Home

The Media Workers Association of Grenada (MWAG) has donated a quantity of supplies to the Hillsview Home for the Aged in St. John’s as part of activities celebrating media week 2012.

Prime Minister to launch Media Week with National Address

Prime Minister Tillman Thomas will deliver an address to officially declare open Media Week 2012.

The office of the Grenadian leader confirmed Friday that the Prime Minister will deliver an address on radio and television this Sunday setting the week in motion. Prime Minister Thomas also holds the portfolio of Minister of Information.

MWAG to stage labour workshop as part of Media Week 2012

The Media Workers Association of Grenada (MWAG) has announced the staging of a workshop on labour rights.

MWAG says the workshop is targeted at media workers on the island and scheduled for Wednesday June 13th from 9am to 12 noon at the Ministry of Works Conference Room.

Entries for 2010-2011 Media Awards en route to Jamaica

The box containing entries for the 2011 media awards was due to leave the island Monday afternoon for Jamaica.

The entries are being sent to Kingston to be adjudicated by the head of the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), Dr. Canute James.
