20 year old woman charged for harboring escaped prisoner

A 20-year old woman charged for the offense of harboring a criminal, has been granted  bail.

Kayuna Panchoo, a St. Andrew resident who was arrested on Thursday after escaped prisoner Jexie Gibbs was found at her home in Dunfermline, appeared before the Grenville Magistrate’s Court on Friday 10th February, 2012 to answer the charge.

Gibbs escaped police custody on Monday while seeking medical attention at the General Hospital in St. George’s.

Panchoo  has also been charged with possession and trafficking of a controlled drug. She is due to appear in Court on March 1st, 2012.

Bail in the sum of EC$5,000.00 for each offense was granted to her. She is also to surrender all travel documents and report to the Grenville Police Station every Monday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.©
