Sympathy messages have been pouring for Tourism Minister Peter David following the announcement on Saturday of the death of his mother.
Family sources confirmed that Marcelle David died during the day on Saturday, but declined to give any further details.

Since the news became public, NNP caretaker for the town of St. George, Nikolas Steele has extended his condolences to the Parliamentary Representative for the same constituency.
In his brief statement, Steele said his ” thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of your loss”.
Opposition Leader and head of the New National Party, Dr. Keith Mitchell also sent his condolences on behalf of his family and political party.
In his message, he described Mrs. David as “a bedrock of the Grenadian business sector and in particular the hotel and tourism sectors for many years”.
Mrs. David leaves to mourn her husband Charlesly David, with whom she has managed a small hotel and car rental service for over two decades. She also leaves to mourn four children and several grand children.©
