Less than a year after pulling out of the Caribbean, Canadian Airline Sunwing has announced that it will be resuming charter flights to Grenada next month.
In January of this year the charter airline was forced to pull out of its 4 Caribbean destinations, because its agent Sunrise was found in violations of Canadian Travel Industry Laws.
The Grenada Ministry of Tourism announced on Wednesday that the airline will begin a one-month charter service as of December 15.
There was no indication from Ministry officials as to which Travel Agent the Airline would use but an internet search has revealed that Nevada based Travel Agency “OneTravel” is doing bookings for a number of its international destinations, including the Caribbean.
Sunwing is one in three airlines that would begin regular winter flights between Grenada and Toronto.
Caribbean Airlines is scheduled to begin flights between Grenada and Canada, in December and Air Canada will also begin its five -month winter season schedule on December 24.©
