Grenada’s Prime Minister Tillman Thomas will address the 36th General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in Paris on Tuesday.
In his address, the Grenadian leader will speak about what he sees is UNESCO’s ability to “balance its holistic vision of education while focusing on particular thematic areas.”
This year’s meeting will look at the specific challenges facing education, which is its largest programmme.
It will also allocate budgets and determine its scope of work and policies for the year 2012 – 2013.
UNESCO says it is seeking a more coordinated approach in working towards the 2015 deadline on its Education for All (EFA) project.
